We searched for so many machine-made Cuban link chains that looked as authentic as the handmade ones... and we couldn't find one. Here are the problems that we ran into: they're all overseas in Italy. The Italians, as good as they are at machine-making any sort of jewelry, have large gaps between links, the file is terrible, and the locks are hideous. So, we reinvented the machine-made Cubans.
